Since February 2022, the Russian government has tightened its ideological language, giving it more internal coherence and implementing a series of measures to spread the official narrative. What are the new ideological repertoires of the Kremlin and how is the Russian population receptive or not to them? How do they resonate with some external audiences?

MARLENE LARUELLE, Research Professor of International Affairs and Political Science at George Washington University, Director of the Illiberalism Studies Program. Her next book, Ideology and Meaning-Making under the Putin Regime, will be released by Stanford University Press in fall 2024.

Organizer: Univ.-Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Mueller
