Wittgenstein Award winner:

Philipp Ther, Professor of East Central European History at the University of Vienna, has been awarded the "Austro-Nobel Prize" for his project "The Great Transformation. A Comparative Social History of Global Upheaval", in which he examines the transformation after the end of state socialism both from a macroperspective and on the basis of case studies "from below".
