Research project:
The project "The Sbrutsch River: Socio-cultural and Environmental History, 1900-1939" is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The project investigates the role of the Sbrutsch River in the history of Eastern Central Europe. The main goal of the project is a complex analysis of the multilateral impacts of the border river on the borderland population and the use of the river as a natural resource and symbolic space.
