Katarina Keber completed her doctorate in 2006 at the Faculty of Arts of the University of< br />Ljubljana with a thesis entitled "Cholera Epidemics in Carniola and their Impact on the Development of Public Health Care".
She is interested in the social history of medicine, in particular the health and social conditions between the 18th and 20th centuries in Slovenian areas. Her research focuses on the development of public health care, the history of epidemics and health policy in the Habsburg monarchy and the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.
